Pay Range: $ 20.00 - $21.50

In this role, you’ll provide quality care and supervision for children while their parents or caregivers participate in classes and workshops. Position Summary

The Child Care Aide is responsible for the care and supervision of children at the First 5 Center while parents and caregivers attend classes or workshops. This role includes engaging children in age-appropriate activities, preparing snacks, greeting families, and maintaining a clean and welcoming childcare space.

Key Responsibilities

Child Supervision & Engagement

• Provide attentive care and supervision to children during Center activities.
• Plan, implement, and engage children in age-appropriate activities.
  
  

Health & Safety

• Prepare and provide snacks when indicated.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming childcare space before and after sessions.
  
  

Family Engagement & Events

• Greet parents/caregivers at pick-up and drop-off times.
• Assist in planning and implementing Center events as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional child development/early childhood education coursework preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience working with children or youth in a similar setting.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred (proficiency in English and Spanish).
• Must meet all state-required conditions of employment as set by Community Care Licensing for a Licensed Community Care facility (fingerprint and child abuse index clearance, TB/health physical, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, proof of auto insurance).

• On-site work at the Center and community location in Antioch, CA.
