The Deposco team is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This position will report to the Corporate Controller. We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and service orientation.
What You’ll Do
What You’ll Do
- Own activities for the balance sheet including cash application, payables processing, and employee expense management. Own multiple general ledger activities including:
- Accounts receivable (AR): Post customer payments and follow-up with customers for outstanding balances; Prepare AR aging and document customer and team responses.
- Accounts payable (AP): Responsible for receiving invoices, maintaining vendor records, coordinating spend approvals, and processing invoices online; Import credit card activity weekly and classify expenses; Maintain master account and department coding.
- Fixed assets (FA) and Prepaid expenses: Prepare rollforward and amortization schedules; Prepare periodic analysis of assets in-use and impairments.
- Employee travel and living (T&L) expenses: Review employee expense reports to the T&L Policy; Conduct training with new hires; Provide travel analysis and policy recommendations.
- Accrued expenses: Prepare rollforward schedules and monitor accrual activities for month-end close; Collaborate with business owners for costs requiring accrual on a monthly basis.
- Own, support and cultivate new ideas, tools and projects that will improve the Finance function.
- Support Finance related activities, including financial analysis, multi state and global tax matters, accounting policy evaluation and implementations, financial system enhancements, and treasury related matters.
- Maintain a strong understanding of financial systems associated with the responsibilities above, and others as we scale.
- Previous experience in a corporate or public accounting role is preferred
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting
- Positive attitude and professional maturity to learn, contribute and grow with an accomplished team
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility in a rapidly scaling, global environment
- Clear written and oral communication skills with the ability to work across all teams, customers and vendors
- Comfortable in Excel, including pivot table and lookup functions, and in organizing large datasets for analysis
- Be flexible, eager to learn, improve and serve others
