With world-renowned programming in theater, dance, music, opera, film, and much more, BAM showcases the work of emerging artists and innovative modern masters.
The Projectionist will operate film and digital projectors in a manner that ensures the high standard of presentation that is expected of a renowned art house cinema. Present every film, rental, event, and Q&A with the same professional quality and attention to detail. Work closely with Director of Programming, Cinema Management team and Programmers to maintain smooth and effective operations.

The Projectionist will operate film and digital projectors in a manner that ensures the high standard of presentation that is expected of a renowned art house cinema. Present every film, rental, event, and Q&A with the same professional quality and attention to detail. Work closely with Director of Programming, Cinema Management team and Programmers to maintain smooth and effective operations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operate all aspects of Digital Cinema.
- Project 35 mm film on a platter system and reel to reel.
- Inspect 35- and 16-mm films.
- Project formats such as 16 mm, DVD, Blu-ray, and Digi beta.
- Build and break down 35- and 16-mm films.
- Replace xenon lamps on digital, 35 and 16mm projectors
- Assist in print traffic duties such as downloading files and converting files to appropriate digital formats
- Provide microphones when needed
- Set up for speaker presentations
