Responsibilities: Serve as an organizational SME on the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense the Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) series, to support the Dam Neck Activity (DNA) in procuring goods and services, and/or develop or streamline procurement processes.

Provide daily program, analytical, and acquisition management support to in the development of large contract packages. Support requirements stakeholders across the Department by assisting with the development of clear, concise, and unambiguous contract requirements. Review and recommend corrections, if required, to all contracting documents to ensure quality, adherence to development standards and that documents align with technical requirements. Coordinate and attend meetings as required. Generate Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) for the procurement process, track procurement schedules IAW N0017825F3005 milestones, and generate status reports and briefs as directed. Support the development of new internal processes to streamline the procurement and contracting process. Support the development of long-term procurement strategies and plans.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in any discipline.

Allowable Substitution: Master’s degree from an accredited institution as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in any discipline and eight (8) years of relevant experience.

Experience: Ten (10) years professional experience in DoD and/or DoN large acquisition management support. Strong background and the ability to support DoN and/or DoD contract development processes, methods and artifacts. Knowledge of and the ability to research and apply procurement/contracting standards and guidelines to include, but not limited to; NAVSEA, Naval Warfare Center, FARs, DFARs, PGI and NMCARs.

Other: An Active Secret Security Clearance is required. Preferred qualifications include Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Contracting Level I or higher with completion of the Contracting (CON) Units of Competency under current DAU/DAWIA guidelines, and/or FAI FAC-COR Level I or higher.
