Position Summary

The Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Coordinator is a vital role responsible for supporting the full talent acquisition lifecycle and assisting with key administrative HR functions. This position dedicates the majority of its time to talent acquisition while providing crucial support to the Human Resources department. The coordinator partners with hiring managers and department leaders to source, screen, and secure top talent, ensuring a positive candidate experience from initial contact through the final hiring process. This role is crucial for helping Vidalta Residential achieve its staffing goals, build a high-performing team, and maintain compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Manages the full lifecycle of the recruiting process, from posting job advertisements and sourcing candidates to coordinating interviews and facilitating pre-employment background screenings.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for candidates, providing timely communication and updates to ensure a positive and professional experience.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and define the necessary skills, experience, and qualifications for open positions.
  • Builds collaborative partnerships with leaders to understand and prioritize staffing and talent needs.
  • Engages in proactive sourcing and pipelining to identify top talent for open requisitions.
  • Recommends and executes effective recruitment strategies, including hosting job fairs, advertising via job boards, and promoting the employee referral program.
  • Maintains accurate documentation on all recruiting activities, including candidate information, interview notes, and selection decisions, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on the company’s applicant tracking system (ATS) and provides training and support to hiring managers as needed.
  • Assists with reporting on key recruiting metrics, such as time-to-fill and cost-per-hire, to help leadership assess the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies.

Human Resources

  • Provides administrative support for various HR functions.
  • Partners with HR and other stakeholders to ensure that all recruiting activities adhere to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting for high-volume non-exempt roles, ideally within the property management or multifamily industry.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic recruitment initiatives.
  • HR or Talent Acquisition certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR, or AIRS) are highly preferred.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (Paylocity experience is a plus).
  • Deep understanding of talent acquisition best practices, the full recruitment lifecycle, and effective sourcing strategies.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and a high volume of requisitions simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with candidates and stakeholders at all levels.
