We are seeking a motivated Junior Electrical Engineer to assist in the design and documentation of electrical systems for building projects. In this role, you will work under the guidance of licensed engineers to develop technical drawings, assist in system layouts, and ensure designs comply with industry standards and project requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in electrical design and engineering drafting.

- Assist in the development of electrical system layouts, schematics, and plans using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Prepare and update electrical drawings and documentation based on engineer input and project specifications.
- Support engineers in conducting calculations for lighting, power distribution, and other electrical systems.
- Research and apply relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, state/local codes).
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to ensure design integration.
- Participate in field visits to gather existing conditions and verify installation compliance.
- Organize and maintain project files, documentation, and design revisions.
- Assist in reviewing vendor and manufacturer submittals for compliance with design specifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, required.
- Proficiency in drafting and design software such as AutoCAD and Revit, required.
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry standards. preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, power distribution, and lighting design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Occasional travel may be required to sites for existing condition verifications.
- Occasionally required to stand; walk; climb, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
