Job Description

ASG is seeking a NOC L2 Watch Analyst (Junior). This role provides 24×7 network monitoring, incident triage, and Tier-1/2 fault resolution for the global WAN/LAN infrastructure, supporting central distribution centers and regional offices worldwide.

The Watch Analyst will operate in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment, ensuring uptime, SLA compliance, and effective escalation of issues across enterprise transport and voice/data services.

What You Will Do

  • Monitors WAN/LAN network devices, links, and services using enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Performs Tier-1/Tier-2 incident triage and restoration, escalating complex issues to senior engineers when necessary.
  • Maintains accurate and timely updates in the ticketing system, ensuring SLA compliance.
  • Generates and distributes outage notifications, status updates, and after-action reports.
  • Tracks and documents recurring issues, assisting in problem management and trend analysis.
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of SOPs, network knowledge base entries, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborates with network engineers, circuit managers, and system administrators to resolve issues.
  • Supports operational readiness standards, including daily watch logs, turnover briefings, and situational reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What We Need:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in network monitoring, NOC operations, or Tier-1/2 support.
  • Familiarity with enterprise WAN/LAN operations and fault isolation.
  • Ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, and procedures to technical assignments.
  • Practical experience and training relevant to the role.
  • Ability to perform assigned work effectively under supervision.
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop skills in a professional environment.
  • Ability to provide flexible support in a mission-critical environment, including potential shift work or on-call availability outside of standard business hours.
  • Travel up to 25% may be required based on project needs.

Certifications

  • CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+ CE.

Clearance

Active Secret Clearance.

Even Better

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Networking, IT, or related field.
  • CCNA or CCNP for advanced network troubleshooting and configuration knowledge.
  • ITIL v4 Foundation/Intermediate for ITSM and SLA process alignment.
  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, NetFlow, or SolarWinds.
  • Experience with trouble ticketing systems (Remedy, ServiceNow, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and documentation skills for outage reports and customer notifications.
