Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on industrial machinery, equipment, and electrical systems and devices including conveyors, pumps, motors, heaters and other mechanical/electrical systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and carry out necessary repairs to restore equipment to optimal working condition.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, performing repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimize production downtime.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying issues causing equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Assist in the installation, calibration, and setup of new equipment and machinery, ensuring proper operation and integration into existing systems.
Support the commissioning of new systems and equipment, including testing and adjusting to meet performance specifications.
Perform preventive maintenance schedules to proactively address potential issues and prevent equipment failures.
Utilize predictive maintenance techniques, such as vibration analysis and thermal imaging, to monitor equipment condition and predict potential problems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent on each task.
Prepare and submit maintenance reports, including equipment performance, maintenance issues, and recommendations for improvements.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Ensure that equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
Identify opportunities for improving maintenance procedures, reducing downtime, and enhancing equipment reliability.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement best practices.
Work closely with production staff to understand equipment issues and provide technical support as needed.
Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and share knowledge.
Report to work at the scheduled time, work as scheduled and is seldom absent from work.

Requirements
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair various types of industrial equipment.
Proficiency in using maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and safety regulations, including but not limited to LOTO.
Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness and ability to work a 12 hour shift schedule with evening/weekend work (Week 1:M/T/F/Sa, Week 2: Su/W/TH).
