On Any Given Day, You’ll
- Produce drawings and construction plans (e.g. general civil, roadway, site development, and utility design) using a CADD workstation.
- Analyze sketches, notes, and engineer input to determine the best approach to complex drawings.
- Calculate quantities, dimensions, grades, and computations related to design.
- Provide input to ongoing development and achieve compliance with drafting and plan standards.
- Construction observation for various municipal and transportation construction projects may be part of job responsibilities.
- Enrolled in or have a technical degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent experience. Candidates with a four-year civil engineering degree will also be considered.
- Proficient in Civil3D/AutoCAD.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
- A minimum of one year of experience using CADD in the development of general civil engineering plans and design experience is preferred.
- Familiarity or experience with GIS.
- Experience in municipal, county, or DOT civil design and/or drafting.
- Experience in municipal or general construction observation and surveying beneficial.
- Experience in OpenRoads Designer.
