Position Summary
The AR Consultant Director is responsible for leading a team of AR Consultants to achieve ambitious goals of maintaining a 45-day DSO and ensuring 120+ aging accounts are 8% or less. This leadership role requires a proactive, solutions-oriented professional who can drive revenue cycle performance across Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, Private, and Hospice payers while implementing effective billing and collection strategies.
Salary: $160,000.00 - $170,000.00
Essential Job Functions
Strategic Leadership:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration (preferred).
Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in a SNF healthcare or related industry
5-7 years’ experience as a supervisor
Possesses knowledge and experience in Medicare, Medicaid and HMO billing
Possesses excellent computer skills, including keyboarding, use of computer applications such as MS Office/Excel/PowerPoint etc.

Essential Job Functions
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to meet or exceed DSO and aging goals.
- Analyze AR trends and implement targeted action plans to optimize collections and reduce aged receivables.
- Identify and mitigate barriers to timely revenue realization.
- Oversee AR Consultants, providing mentorship, training, and performance management to ensure team success.
- Promote collaboration and accountability within the team to achieve organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain staffing plans to support workload demands.
- Direct and monitor billing processes for Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, Private, and Hospice payers to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with payer regulations and resolve complex payment or denial issues.
- Drive initiatives to improve payer reimbursement and reduce claim rejections.
- Lead resolution efforts for escalated AR issues, including payer disputes and denial management.
- Introduce process improvements to enhance AR management efficiency.
- Leverage technology and reporting tools to provide actionable insights for AR performance.
- Prepare and present AR performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in AR management for various payer types, including Medicare, Medicaid, and HMOs.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to implement actionable plans.
- Proficient in using AR software and reporting tools.
- Excellent HR and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team effectively.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
- Oversee a team of ARCs dedicated to resolving aged accounts (120+ days).
- Execute billing processes, appeal denials, and submit corrected claims as needed.
- Ensure thorough documentation of actions in PCC software, including resident notes and account updates.
- Willingness to travel domestically as required to oversee team performance and training initiatives.
