Job Responsibilities
- Prepare statistics and reports, as required by the customer, and distribute to all relevant parties. Maintain logs, files, and statistics as required.
- Provide details about shipments or handling incidents, which may result in future claims.
- Make accurate and timely data entries.
- Bring any customer issues to the attention of a manager
- Prepare documentation for tracing action, perform follow-up, and keep customer informed of progress.
- Provide customers with information concerning the status of their shipments.
- Challenge unauthorized persons entering non-public areas and report the incident to a manager.
- Adhere to all Air General safety and security procedures, and immediately report any discrepancies to a supervisor or manager.
- Use proper telephone etiquette; answer phones within 4 rings.
- Conduct spot checks on all office related performance.
- Review staff performance and provide OJT as necessary.
- Review and handle all messages requiring immediate responses or special handling. Liaise with manager as required.
- Ensure customer funds are deposited regularly, in accordance with customer requirements.
- Survey all work and office areas for neat, clean, and orderly conditions, including all back offices. Areas must be free of debris and any other work safety hazards.
- Ensure all safety standards are adhered to and all security procedures are complied with.
- Check daily briefings and ensure all staff are briefed.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the managers.
- High school diploma or GED required - college degree preferred or equivalent industry experience
- 2 years of continuous office experience
- 2 years of Supervisor experience
- Must be able to obtain a valid airport SIDA badge
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid and unexpired US Driver’s license
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- PC proficiency (MS Office applications).
- Must be able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks, applicable Custom Security Seal, and post offer drug screens
- Be available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced, high-noise environment, and meet deadlines
- Some travel may be required for airline specific training
