We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Product Development Director to manage strategic initiatives to meet our Private Brand vision and business objectives. Leading and building a team of Product Development managers to research & develop purposeful high-quality & sustainable products, enter new categories and continuously improve existing categories which deliver aggressive Private Brand growth will be key in this role. Link customer insights, trends, and financial indicators into strategic plans that drive results while managing strategic positioning with all internal and external stakeholders.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Advance ingredient led product development through high-quality & sustainable ingredients. Develop and grow emerging trends. Lead cross functionally with the Merchandising, Operations, Marketing, Logistics & Procurement groups to drive go-to-market strategies.
- Build talent, lead a team, influence and collaborate with cross functional partners to meet key financial metrics across portfolio.
- Identify and capture white space by capitalizing on market trends and consumer insights.
- Cultivate innovative and collaborative environments with teams and global cross-functional partners that foster idea generation and execution.
- Oversee the end-to-end product Lifecyle from concept to go to market strategy leveraging CPG industry trends, regulations and competitive landscape.
- Progress & enrich synergies between key stakeholders -Wholesalers, Suppliers, Franchisees & our North American Licensees.
- Ensure product quality, regulatory requirements & packaging excellence are met.
- Oversee and ensure proper forecasting of raw materials, production, finished goods & relevant seasonal safety stock to ensure 99.9% in-stock level.
- Continuous product & program improvement relative to strategy, tactical day to day management, assortment, packaging, innovation, demand chain & reporting.
- Interface with executive leadership to communicate progress, challenges & strategic recommendations
- Lead Change Management and strengthen Private Brand culture.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Merchandising or relevant degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of merchandising and assortment planning experience are required with heavy preference in grocery, convenience retailer, or foodservice experience.
- 5+ years of management experience guiding, leading and developing a team of category managers.
- Experience managing category P&L.
- Strong business acumen and strategic, financial merchandise planning, and analytical skills.
- Proven success with influencing and negotiation with external stakeholders specifically with vendors, suppliers and wholesale partners.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving collaboration across departments.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, C-Shopper and systems savvy to use internal ticketing pricing and communication portals.
- 25% travel expected.
