Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our precision machining team. This individual will play a key role in programming complex components, supporting production efficiency, and ensuring high-quality output that meets stringent industry standards.


Key Responsibilities




  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Management, Machine Operators, Engineers, and Production Control to develop and maintain CNC programs that support production goals.




  • Program CNC machines using Mastercam for 2-3 axis milling and turning operations.




  • Work with a range of CNC platforms including Okuma, Haas, Mazak, and FANUC.




  • Utilize SolidWorks for CAD and design-related tasks.




  • Interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings to guide machining processes.




  • Select appropriate tools and fixtures (e.g., end mills, drills, inserts, and custom fixtures).




  • Maintain an organized library of programs, setup sheets, and revision control.




  • Conduct first-run prove-outs with operators or independently to validate program accuracy.




  • Continuously revise and optimize programs to improve quality and efficiency.




Qualifications




  • High School diploma or equivalent required; technical school or college education is a strong plus.




  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on machining experience, with at least 4 years of CNC programming.




  • Strong experience in Mastercam and familiarity with CAD tools, including SolidWorks.




  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.




  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining production schedules and collaborating across departments.




  • Excellent attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.




  • Experience in a unionized shop environment is a plus.
