You will work closely with internal teams such as Facilities Management, IT Services, Building Services, and contractors (e.g. Telent), managing everything from stakeholder engagement and RAMS reviews to implementing remedial works, access planning, governance, and compliance with key protocols such as CDM, fire safety, and asbestos management.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading the scoping, planning and coordination of small-scale building projects in support of IT infrastructure installations.
  • Managing project governance, stakeholder engagement, early-stage documentation, and contractor coordination.
  • Ensuring projects are safe, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with University standards and strategic goals.
  • Identifying and resolving risks and issues that affect scope, programme or quality.
  • Overseeing remedial works such as fire stopping and making good.
  • Producing clear, accurate reports and briefings for diverse audiences.

You should apply if

You Have

  • A construction-related degree and relevant professional qualification.
  • Proven experience managing small to mid-sized capital or building fabric projects.
  • Strong technical competence across design deliverability, compliance and risk management.
  • A collaborative approach with excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with statutory regulations including CDM, AMP, and H&S protocols.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team delivering impactful works that support the University’s transformation into a world-leading physical and digital campus.
