PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Control of accounts payable duties for all corporate stores and assistance in the creation of restaurant financial reporting.

Essential Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

· Process and code all incoming AP invoices.

· Enter all invoices into Great Plains Accounting Software and import weekly EDI invoices.

· Receives, researches, and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate person(s).

· Lends support to operational employees in the timely and effective AP processing.

· Contacting vendors and maintaining vendor relations as needed.

· Lead the corporate restaurants weekly check runs for vendor invoice payments.

· Manage the corporate restaurant monthly sales tax calculations, reporting, and payments.

· Management of document retention.

Accounts Receivable

· Invoice customers and manage the accounts receivable aging schedule.

· Contacting customers and procuring payment.

· Creation of receivables and cash receipts in accounting software.

G/L Accountant

· Assist in the period-end close process by creating and entering journal entries.

· Support the Accounting Manager in creating restaurant financials.

· Assist in monthly reconciliations.

· Lead gift card loads, inquiries, and documentation.

· Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as needed.

Slim Chickens systems principles and objectives: Has a thorough understanding of Slim Chickens' established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies, safety) and recognizes the responsibility to stay updated on these systems and the role this position plays in supporting them.

Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives: This position description is designed to guide the activities of the Accountant. It is not meant to restrict the individual's creativity or limit their thinking, nor does it encompass all the tasks that may be required in this role.

Physical Activities: Primarily performed in an office environment. Involves entering and retrieving information on a computer and visually verifying details, often in small print. May also require presenting information to small or large groups.

Qualifications

Requirements and Competencies:

· Demonstrated experience as an Accountant.

· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

· Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

 

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting.

Preferred Education: Master’s and/ or CPA certification.
