About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to oversee multiple on-site health and wellness clinics within our Occupational Health Division. This individual will provide operational and administrative leadership, build and maintain strong client relationships, and support clinic staff across several locations. The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare operations leader who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and is comfortable traveling frequently.

This position reports to the Director of Operations and works in close collaboration with the Department of Clinical Affairs, supervising physicians, and Medcor’s corporate teams.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for local and corporate clients, building trust and credibility.
  • Promote Medcor’s values, ethics, and commitment to high-quality care.
  • Develop relationships with client executives, supervising physicians, and local healthcare providers.

Team Leadership & Staff Management

  • Supervise and support clinic staff (full-time, part-time, and contractors) across multiple sites.
  • Lead recruiting, training, scheduling, performance reviews, and ongoing staff development.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and problem-solving support for clinical operations.
  • Step in to provide staffing coverage when needed.
  • Ensure staff are trained and compliant in the use of electronic medical records and operational protocols.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day clinic operations, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Partner with IT, HR, Accounting, and Training departments to meet clinic needs.
  • Ensure clinics are well supplied, compliant, and operating efficiently.
  • Lead staff and management meetings to drive alignment and collaboration.

Financial & Budget Management

  • Manage budgets for assigned clinics, focusing on revenue generation, expense control, and cash flow.
  • Monitor performance metrics, address variances, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Support accurate billing processes and contract compliance.

Required Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • 2–4 years of experience in healthcare operations, occupational health, or employee health services, including supervisory/management responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation and occupational health/wellness programs.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze financials, and identify performance gaps.
  • Excellent organizational skills: able to prioritize, multitask, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Skilled at influencing and building credibility with staff, clients, and executives.
  • Strong operational mindset with the ability to identify workflow issues and implement effective solutions.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with EMR systems.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN licensed in Illinois and Iowa
