As a Sales Representative for UnitedHealthcare Student Resources, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the reach of our student health insurance offerings to schools that do not currently have a student health insurance plan. Your primary focus will be on identifying opportunities, building relationships, and presenting the benefits of our insurance plans to key decision-makers within educational institutions. Your efforts will directly contribute to the well-being of students by ensuring access to comprehensive and affordable healthcare coverage.

Domestic Travel required.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Researching and identifying Prospects who don't have a SHIP
  • Conduct cold calls, email campaigns, and in person visits
  • Deliver presentations and product demonstrations highlighting UHCSR's products and services
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to engage schools, build relationships
  • Negotiate terms, pricing and contract details

Required Qualifications

  • Insurance license as required by law or willing to obtain
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools
  • Proven track record of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in the insurance or healthcare sector
  • Proven solid oral and written communication skills, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to establish rapport and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven attitude
  • Proven excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel as required to visit schools within the assigned territory

Preferred Qualification

  • Understanding of student health insurance and the education sector
  • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
