Position Overview

We're seeking a dynamic Regional Director of Operations to lead a region of multi-site veterinary clinics. This field-based leader will partner closely with Practice Managers and Regional Medical Directors to champion our veterinarian-first culture, deliver operational excellence, and drive clinic growth.

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic operational leadership across a set regional geography of hospital clinics
  • Champion a supportive environment for DVMs to thrive professionally and personally
  • Collaborate with medical leadership to streamline operations and protect time for medicine
  • Lead efforts to recruit, retain, and engage outstanding veterinarians
  • Promote an operational culture focused around "Vets, Visits, and Value"
  • Drive visit growth, client retention, and operational efficiency across clinics
  • Deliver strong financial results through P&L management
  • Ensure consistent implementation of best practices in scheduling, staffing, client service, and marketing
  • Hire, coach, and develop high-performing Practice Managers
  • Foster internal leadership growth through coaching and career path development
  • Be a visible leader in hospitals—offering real-time support and building trust with local teams
  • Build a high-trust, collaborative culture that encourages idea-sharing and team success

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in multi-site operations (preferably healthcare or veterinary)
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proven ability to lead through growth and change
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Solid understanding of veterinary practice dynamics, team culture, and client service
  • Financial acumen, including familiarity with KPIs, labor models, and P&L management
  • Willing and able to travel up to 75% of the time
