We are currently looking for a Business Analyst for a 100% remote position on a large federal government project supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Business Analyst will be responsible for developing program schedules, creating work breakdown structures, assigning software development personnel to tasks, and engaging directly with business stakeholders to evaluate and document business needs.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team and engage in all aspects of SAFe Agile software development, primarily in planning and design.
- Identify and resolve project issues by analyzing complex business problems and determining IT solutions.
- Collaborate with developers and UX/UI designers to translate visual concepts into functional online experiences.
- Coordinate documentation updates, facilitate team communications, and conduct post-project evaluations.
- Define objectives and scope of business systems, gathering and analyzing business data and user needs.
- Provide recommendations on hardware and software procurement to support client goals.
- Work closely with managers and end users to determine optimal IT solutions.
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a technical field, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 - 8 years of professional analyst experience.
- Strong background in data analytics and programming.
- Experience designing basic UX/UI wireframes and presenting them to clients.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow and Atlassian JIRA.
- Certifications in business analysis or Agile methodologies (e.g., CBAP, IIBA, SAFe Practitioner).
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, including Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in documentation.
- Experience with SAFe/Agile methodologies; SAFe Practitioner certification preferred.
- Prior experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal agencies.
- Ability to obtain government clearance.
