Andrew Morgan, LLC (AM) is a fast-growing Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and HUBZone SB. We are currently seeking a qualified Event Coordinator to join our team supporting our DoD Client.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position plays a key role in the successful coordination of both internal and external events, including speaking engagements, stakeholder meetings, and ceremonial functions. The ideal candidate will have experience managing high-visibility events, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.

  • Identify client requirements, goals, and expectations for each event to ensure successful planning and execution.
  • Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the event planning and execution process.
  • Manage all logistical aspects of events, including scheduling, venue selection, coordination of audiovisual and technical needs, and catering.
  • Oversee and supervise event set-up, real-time operations, and tear-down to ensure quality and compliance with security and protocol standards.
  • Coordinate and schedule internal speaking events, ensuring alignment with leadership priorities and availability.
  • Provide on-site staffing and support for executive leadership at external speaking engagements, including logistics, briefing materials, and real-time adjustments.
  • Maintain detailed event timelines, budgets, and documentation for reporting and post-event analysis.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned events, ensuring responsive and professional communication with DoD stakeholders.
  • Ensure all events are executed in compliance with DoD regulations, policies, and protocol standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Event Management, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience coordinating events in a government or corporate setting; DoD or federal experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with high-ranking officials and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
  • Ability to travel and support occasional after-hours or weekend events as needed.

SALARY:

Salary is commensurate with both location and experience.
