We're Hiring: Marketing Manager!

We are seeking a seasoned Marketing Manager with excellent business-to-business writing skills. This role supports corporate goals and objectives through strategic planning, development, positioning, and promotion of brand, product, and service launches, as well as go-to-market campaigns and acquisition, retention, and loyalty initiatives for key target audiences.

Essential Resource Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Write compelling copy that illustrates our integrated pharmacy and care management programs as best-in-class.
  • Connect brokers and employers to the value and benefits of the pharmacy line of business.
  • Raise brand perception of our pharmacy programs through the development of content, including but not limited to white papers, blogs, emails, op-eds, collateral development, website content, and campaign messaging.
  • Manage internal and external agency partners for creative development, production, fulfillment, and media buying and planning. Responsible for internal and external oversight, implementation, and management of corporate brand standards including product naming, messaging, and graphic identity for Excellus BlueCross BlueShield and Univera Healthcare.
  • Prepare clear, concise Marketing Briefs that incorporate current situation, competitive intelligence, objectives, data, and key messages to create alignment between internal stakeholders, marketing strategies, and campaign/creative execution.
  • Proactively understand business segment and target audience needs. Stay informed of category and segment news, trends, and competition. Provide guidance and knowledge to offer strategic insights.
  • Lead and manage the development of campaign/program plans, deliverables, timelines, and budgets to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate and present campaigns, progress, and results while obtaining feedback from internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and participate in matrixed teams including marketing, sales, corporate communications, and operations leadership to ensure proper communication of roles, responsibilities, deliverables, and timing to key stakeholders.
  • Manage the accurate and timely creation and production of critical brand/product communications using message simplification principles to foster understanding by key audiences and inspire action.
  • As brand steward, maintain complete understanding of brand guidelines and standards. Involved in internal and external communication of these guidelines and standards, including understanding and communicating Association standards and applying our unique tone and visual representation to support an enhanced customer experience.
  • Perform other functions as assigned by management.

Minimum Resource Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience writing marketing copy in a corporate or agency setting.
  • A portfolio of highly creative ideas and successful short and long form content for a variety of channels.
  • Outstanding command of the English language including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Thorough knowledge of AP style.
  • Experience developing high-value creative concepts for marketing campaigns.
  • Highly skilled in adopting the voice of the brand.
  • Comfortable working with a range of internal stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage and meet multiple, often competing deadlines, working in a fast-paced, high-volume collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
