Job Description Summary

Provides leadership, management, and administration of the University Support Services Department, within Operations, Division of Finance and Operations. Responsible for these service units: University Mail Services, University Warehouse Operations, University Records Center, and Printing Services. This position is reports to the Director of Finance and Support Services within Business Operations.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

20% - Provides and sets clear directives, expectations, and priorities for the Support Services Units. Manages the daily operations of the Department of Mail Services, Printing Services, Warehouse Operations, and the Records Center. Responsible for the effective utilization and control of manpower, supplies, and equipment assigned or available for the performance of job duties.

20% - Administers Fiscal and Personnel management programs. Directs the Support Services Staff in support of all business units. Manages cash flow and ensures that all budgets, lines of credit, and supporting documentation are prepared, submitted, and approved. Ensure Support Services adheres to all applicable state, federal, and university regulations and policies.

20% - Ensures that internal communications among managerial staff and all other Department personnel are clear and effectively sets Departmental expectations for employees. Communicates effectively with senior management, other departments, and division administrators and staff of the University. Interacts with senior management, peers, and counterparts at outside agencies in a manner that promotes the mission of the University.

20% - Promotes good stewardship of resources through effective and efficient use of people, systems, and funding.

15% - Plans for the future of Support Services; advises University and Medical Authority senior management on crucial business services issues.

5% - Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and four years relevant experience in administrative services, public administration or business management.
