If so, New Avenues to Independence is looking for someone just like you to join our team as a Recruiting and Onboarding Specialist! This position is 32 hours per week in the office.

Recruitment

Key Responsibilities:

Draft Compelling Job Descriptions In Collaboration With Hiring Managers.

Post job openings on various platforms, including job boards, social media, and the company website.

Implement targeted recruitment strategies to attract diverse and qualified candidates.

Proactively source candidates through various channels, including resume databases and professional networks.

Conduct initial resume screenings and assessments to identify suitable candidates.

Coordinate and conduct interviews with hiring managers.

Schedule and coordinate candidate interviews, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for both candidates and hiring teams.

Communicate interview details and provide necessary information to all parties involved.

Collaborate with hiring managers to make informed hiring decisions.

Extend job offers and negotiate terms of employment.

Conduct background checks and reference checks as needed.

Foster a positive and inclusive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

Gather feedback from candidates to continually improve the recruitment process.

Onboarding

Coordinate with various departments to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

Manage new hire documentation, ensuring completion of all required forms and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Conduct onboarding sessions to familiarize new hires with company culture, values, and expectations.

Leverage HRIS and onboarding software to streamline processes and maintain accurate employee records.

Collaborate with IT to ensure new hires have the necessary tools and equipment on their start date.

Conduct follow-up sessions with new hires to address questions or concerns.

Gather feedback on the onboarding process and implement improvements as needed.

Serve as back up team member to deliver comprehensive new hire orientation programs

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or another related field

Minimum of 2 years of high-volume recruiting and onboarding experience in a fast-paced environment. (Agency recruitment preferred)

Experience with sourcing, screening, and building a candidate pipeline

In-depth knowledge of onboarding best practices, including creating and implementing effective onboarding programs, orientation materials, and processes.

Proficiency in using HRIS systems and experience with different applicant tracking systems (Paylocity preferred)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Knowledge of disability services or related field is a plus.
