Position Overview
The Shipping & Warehouse Supervisor ensures the efficient, accurate, and timely movement of materials and products through Seco Precision’s supply chain. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding inventory integrity, optimizing warehouse space, and meeting shipping deadlines to support customer satisfaction and business performance. By working hands-on alongside the team and leading warehouse and shipping personnel, the supervisor maintains high standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency, directly contributing to Seco Precision’s reputation for quality and reliability.

Primary Responsibilities
- Actively participate in and oversee daily shipping and warehouse operations, ensuring orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
- Manage incoming and outgoing freight, coordinating with carriers to optimize cost, efficiency, and delivery schedules.
- Lead, train, and develop warehouse and shipping staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, conduct counts, and implement corrective measures to reduce discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, trade, and quality requirements by modeling best practices on the floor.
- Maintain warehouse layout, optimize storage utilization, and oversee proper use and upkeep of equipment.
- Analyze operational data, prepare reports and KPIs, and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and customer service teams to meet quality, delivery, and performance goals.
- Oversee and assist in maintenance of shipping and warehouse equipment.
- Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma practices.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Proven experience supervising shipping and warehouse operations in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of logistics, freight management, and inventory control.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and warehouse management software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve operational efficiency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), with strong ability to use Excel for data tracking, reporting, and analysis.”
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing ladders in a warehouse environment.
- Comfortable working in varying conditions (e.g., around loading docks, with exposure to seasonal temperatures).
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations and documentation.
- Knowledge of ISO quality management systems.
- Forklift certification and experience in equipment operation.
