The Senior Integrated Planning Manager plays a critical role for ensuring the successful commercialization of Original Content films and series through early strategic alignment, cohesive go-to-market strategies, and streamlined project management tools & processes. Responsible for both strategic direction and project execution management, the Senior Integrated Planning Manager will focus on maintaining strong internal stakeholder relationships and aligning efforts & priorities. The Senior Integrated Planning Manager collaborates with Original Content’s cross-company partners to maximize long term value, amplification and monetization of our Original Content IP.
Responsibilities:
The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $121,900 to $197,900 per year and in New York is $127,600 to $207,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate communication and alignment between Original Content and ESPN internal partners on cross-company strategies (including size/scope of support/opportunities, priorities, holdbacks, and financial forecasts) and associated planning & development needs/timing.
- Partner with ESPN Research & Analytics to provide relevant and digestible research/insights to cross-company partners; make strategic recommendations based on findings.
- Must be able to lead highly matrixed, cross-functional teams, streamline processes, and foster collaboration.
- Responsible for developing the methods and models for tracking a project's steps and dependencies, including negotiating timelines and deliverables with colleagues in higher positions. This person also will be accountable for reporting the progress of projects to senior leadership.
- Must have professional presence and experience to lead by influence rather than control and the ability to obtain results from diverse stakeholders that don't report directly to the Original Content team.
- Lead the coordination of multiple projects simultaneously across lines of business, including stakeholder management, establishing launch timelines, tracking the development of each project, identifying, and solving dependencies, and managing the execution of deliverables.
- Be the central point of contact for Integrated Planning projects, playing a key role in driving the project lifecycle from initiation to closure (e.g. run project’s kick-off, integration, and alignment meetings, track, and chase dependencies).
- Drive collaboration across various departments to ensure a cohesive approach to project execution.
- Responsible for developing and updating content summary, central project pages, executive share-outs, and post-mortem.
- Identify amplification opportunities for each project.
- Responsible for ensuring the seamless integration and alignment of efforts across multiple departments including Production, Marketing Integration, Social, and Synergy.
- Post-Mortem Reporting: lead the development and delivery of post-mortem reports for all Integrated Planning projects, providing insights and actionable recommendations for future projects.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, with a combination of Brand Management AND Project Management or Program Management or a similar role in entertainment, media, or digital content organizations.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
- Knowledge of creative deliverables for social, websites, video, and linear productions.
- Track record of collaborating with a large and varied group of cross-functional teams and partners to tackle ambiguous problems and make forward progress.
- Strong process orientation with solid organizational and multi-tasking skills and the ability to easily context-switch in a fast-paced and ever-evolving organization with multiple work streams and projects.
- Adept at establishing trusting relationships with both internal and external partners.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals.
- Proven track record of presenting to and influencing senior management.
- Proficiency in project management tools, content management systems, and analytics platforms.

- Project management experience in a media, publishing, or entertainment environment.
- Strong understanding of content creation and marketing strategies, especially within a large media conglomerate.

- ESPN Segment experience is highly beneficial.
- Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously while adapting priorities seamlessly, navigating ambiguity, and maintaining composure under pressure.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to follow-through on projects and initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to express facts, thoughts, or ideas in a clear, organized, and convincing way tailored to the audience.
- Self-starter project manager with strong initiative and proactive approach.
- Flexible, comfortable with uncertainty & ambiguity, and adaptable to shifting priorities & partner needs.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field).
