In these roles, you will support capital and O&M projects by providing oversight in cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidates will bring analytical skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and finance to ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all standards and procedures.

Job Summary
We are seeking Project Controls Professionals (Levels I, II, and III) to join our team. In these roles, you will support capital and O&M projects by providing oversight in cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidates will bring analytical skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and finance to ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules (Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost estimates.
- Integrate cost and schedule data to provide accurate cash flow projections and variance analysis.
- Track and evaluate project budgets, forecasts, and changes, providing timely reports to project managers and stakeholders.
- Support Estimate to Completion (ETC) development and assist in corrective action recommendations.
- Enter, review, and maintain accurate project data in relevant systems and databases.
- Conduct consistency reviews, identify lessons learned, and recommend process improvements.
- Prepare reports and presentations for project managers, finance, and leadership.
- Participate in project challenge meetings, safety meetings, and risk reviews.
- Champion KBHs values and maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 (experience preferred at higher levels).
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-starter, able to work independently and in a team environment.
Project Controls Professional I
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field and 02 years of experience.
- OR Associate degree + 4 years relevant experience.
- OR HS diploma/GED + 8 years relevant experience.
- Skills: Basic understanding of project management principles; Excel proficiency; familiarity with scheduling tools (Primavera P6 or MS Project).
- Certifications: None required; CAPM or entry-level coursework is a plus.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field and 35 years of relevant experience.
- OR Associate degree + 7 years relevant experience.
- OR HS diploma/GED + 9 years relevant experience.
- Skills: Proficient with Primavera P6 and project controls software; experience with earned value management (EVM); intermediate/advanced Excel.
- Certifications: Preferred EIT, CCP, or PMI-SP (not required).
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction, Finance, or related field and 610+ years of experience on large or complex projects.
- OR Associate degree + 12 years relevant experience.
- OR HS diploma/GED + 14 years relevant experience.
- Skills: Expert-level knowledge of Primavera P6 and cost management systems; strong understanding of CPM, EVM, and risk management; proven ability to lead schedule/cost strategy for large, complex projects.
- Certifications: Strongly desired PMI, CCP, or equivalent project controls certification.
