Position Summary

We are seeking a Patient Coordinator to join our front desk team in Edina, MN. This role is key in ensuring each patient’s journey is seamless, welcoming, and professional. As the first and last point of contact, you will set the tone for a world-class patient experience. This position also requires a substantial amount of written communication with patients through text messaging, so strong writing skills, including using professional spelling and punctuation, are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly in person, over the phone, by text, and via email
  • Perform and manage a substantial amount of written communication with patients via text to provide timely and accurate information
  • Schedule consultations, procedures, and follow-up appointments accurately
  • Communicate with patients regarding procedures, pricing, and expectations
  • Maintain and update patient records in our EMR system (Nextech)
  • Assist with new patient paperwork and intake processes
  • Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy standards
  • Provide thoughtful and timely follow-up to patient inquiries
  • Collaborate with surgeons, providers, and staff to support the patient journey


Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in healthcare, customer service, or a related field
  • Prior experience in plastic surgery, cosmetic dermatology, or aesthetics is highly preferred
  • College degree preferred, but not required
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Nextech EMR a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong written ability for professional patient texts and emails
  • Professional, polished, and patient-focused demeanor


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit at a desk and consistently communicate verbally throughout the duration of each shift
  • Ability to sit at a desk and consistently type via text message and on a computer using repetitive hand and finger movements throughout the duration of each shift
