Position Summary: The Global Purchasing Manager responsible for supervising the process of sourcing and purchasing essential material for all business operations and managing all purchasing team members. The Global Purchasing Manager will lead strategic initiatives that improve cost of ownership, while strengthening key partnership with key internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The essential functions of this role include:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect goods and services such as office supplies, IT services, utilities services, facilities management, and professional services.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and benchmark pricing.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  • Manage supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure service quality and delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide procurement support.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and relevant regulations.
  • Develop and maintain procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier records.
  • Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Develop and lead sourcing strategies, negotiations, and contracting for Capex projects.
  • Manage supplier performance issues and act as the point of escalation for project teams.
  • Engage with CPS operations (Engineering, QSE, Manufacturing & Finance) for stakeholder management.
  • Build and manage supplier relationships to achieve long-term business goals.
  • Ensure risk management and compliance, including appropriate NDAs and contracts.
  • Participate in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs with strategic suppliers.

Education & Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience managing indirect procurement categories
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices
  • The ideal candidate preferably will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, related major
  • Candidate should hold a CPSM or CSCP certificate or equivalent experience
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives;
  • Ability to analyze data and provide insights from data
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role provides direct supervision for one or more staff members.

Travel

  • 0-10%

Language Skills

  • This position requires the ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English. Spanish preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; and
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times;
