The Franklin Innovative Research, Strategies and Technology (FIRST) group brings together Franklin Templeton’s teams focused on innovation initiatives, allowing for new synergies to emerge, linking our actions to our thought leadership/research, & offering a central point from which to coordinate broader firm activities & partner engagement.
Within this group, we are seeking a dynamic and proactive Strategic Initiatives Coordinator to support our Executive Reporting & Business Management team in a fast-paced and next-gen environment. This person will provide critical support by coordinating activities to support FIRST’s strategic initiatives including building reports and dashboards, tracking key performance metrics, facilitating cross-functional coordination, and driving tasks to closure. This role combines project administration with operational support, ensuring strategic initiatives stay on track, communications flow smoothly, and leadership has clear visibility into progress and outcomes.
The ideal candidate is consistently proactive in moving deliverables forward and not only excels in traditional administrative tasks but will also leverage cutting-edge AI tools and technology to enhance productivity and streamline operations.

Project Coordination & Execution
- Provide support in coordinating initiatives, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and key metrics are documented and tracked.
- Follow up on outstanding tasks and drive items to closure across a wide range of stakeholders.
- Support preparation and facilitation of meetings, including agendas, notes, action items, and follow-ups.
- Build and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and presentations to track progress on KPIs and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates to leadership, team members and business partners.
- Support data collection and validation for reporting accuracy.
- Draft and distribute internal communications, updates, and status reports.
- Develop and maintain a calendar of activities and upcoming events to keep the team aligned.
- Support the creation and organization of team content, materials, and knowledge repositories (e.g., SharePoint, Teams).
- Assist in developing and executing communications plans for initiatives.
- Assist in planning and executing speaking events, conferences, and corporate functions, ensuring all logistical elements are managed efficiently.
- Manage logistics for team activities, including scheduling, content preparation, note taking and follow-up reporting.
- Regularly review processes and seek out ways to streamline, automate and optimize our day-to-day tasks.
- Provide general operations support, including document formatting, presentation development, and knowledge management.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful, with a “get it done” mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, business operations, or administrative support.
- Experience utilizing AI tools and software applications that enhance productivity and communication
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); familiarity with data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Strong problem solver with the ability to anticipate needs and manage competing priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
