The Loan Center Supervisor is responsible for orchestrating the day-to-day member experience for the Loan Center to ensure an exceptional borrowing and servicing experience while delivering the financial results aligned with ABNB's business objectives. Responsible for ensuring the Loan Center and applicable staff meet all goals and are knowledgeable within all aspects of Consumer Lending.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises Loan Center Staff ensuring optimal performance. Instructs and maintains a trained and effective staff sufficient to meet the daily demands of the credit union. Provides leadership to personnel through effective delegation, objective/goal setting, communication, training, reinforcement, and coaching as directed from the Loan Center Manager. Conducts staff meetings as required to inform personnel of policy and procedural changes, discuss areas needing improvement, and coaches/councils as needed. Works with stakeholder departments to ensure member service requirements and needs are met.
  • Actively promotes/coaches staff selling all credit union products and services to achieve department production goals, increase productivity, loan volume, and ancillary products. Assists the Loan Center Manager with planning, coordinating, and directing of the Loan Center. Ensures all department goals are met monthly.
  • Ensures all approved loans comply with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Provides recommendations for efficiencies and enhancements to products, processes, policies, and services.
  • Completes all projects, presentations, reports, counseling notices, and annual reviews accurately and within target dates. Will represent the Loan Center in meetings when needed.
  • Ensures the Loan Center Staff maintains a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members, co-workers, and vendors in addition to providing accurate service and support.
  • Drives member satisfaction. Assists members and employees with escalated service issues as needed and provides solutions/responses.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
  • Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. A passion for technology and training/educating people around technology is desired.
  • Other Skills: 1. Knowledge of indirect, consumer, and mortgage lending; must have proven track record of selling and servicing loans. 2. Minimum of three years of increasing responsibility/job experience in consumer lending and sales. 3. Thorough knowledge of lending regulations, compliance rules, policies, and procedures. 4. Excellent written and interpersonal skills to supervise staff and communicate effectively with members. 5. Ability to make decisions and resolve problems. 6. Organization and time management skills are required. 7. Ability to operate a PC and related software to include working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Physical Requirements: Qualifications include sitting at a computer for extended periods of time and wearing a headset; and being able to lift/carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Work Environment: Hybrid - In Office with Limited Remote
