Pay and Schedule
The General Ledger Clerk is responsible for assisting the Accounting department in the maintenance of the general ledger. This includes tasks such as:
Education: High School diploma or GED required.
Experience: This is an entry level position. Previous practical general ledger experience is preferred.
Physical Demands: Low physical demands required. The employee is regularly required to sit for sustained periods of time and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Other requirements: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be able to operate a 10 key calculator

Pay and Schedule
- $21.00 an hour
- Full Time, Hybrid ~ flexible schedule available
The General Ledger Clerk is responsible for assisting the Accounting department in the maintenance of the general ledger. This includes tasks such as:
- Managing assigned general ledger accounts.
- Reconciling e-checks, cash, and credit card transactions to the daily sales posting.
- Identifying and correcting any discrepancies.
- Keeping an accurate log of journal entries.
- HOM Furniture is a growing company. In addition to the accounting responsibilities needed for our showroom locations, the General Ledger Clerk will assist with the accounting needs of HOM Furniture’s corporate departments. Examples of such would include assisting in the preparation of financial statements and logging recurring entries to the Prepaid Expenses accounts.
- The General Ledger Clerk will assist with month end ledger closing procedures as well as assisting in the compilation and mailing of year end 1099 forms.
- Reconcile various bank accounts to bank statements.
- Other duties as assigned
