In this role, you will work on Cloud SQL's data migration platform, solving issues in low-downtime database migration and data integration to build a seamless Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data ecosystem.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- Experience in the following areas such as Cloud, Relational Databases, Scripting, Cloud Operations, Metrics Analysis, Customer Support.
- Experience programming in one of the following languages like Java, Go.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas such as Database Migrations, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL.

Responsibilities
- Design and build infrastructure to migrate, run, manage, and monitor all databases, while owning the reliability and scalability of the service as Cloud SQL continues its rapid growth.
- Build features to migrate MySQL and Postgres customer data from on-premise and other Cloud vendors to Cloud SQL and surface this ease of migration through Database Migration Service .
- Enhance mechanisms to reduce migration latency, downtime and increase data migration fidelity.
- Build features to allow customers to plan their migrations and verify migrated data.
- Enable seamless data transfer into and out of Cloud SQL, including features such as import/export, data streaming, both to other GCP products like BigQuery, Data Catalog and to external endpoints.
