The primary goal for the Staffing Coordinator is to support adequate staffing levels through interviewing, processing, hiring, orienting, and placing qualified staff with consumers seeking positive behavioral support, growth and development. This includes maintaining open, consistent, and effective communications with staff, program managers, case managers, and site supervisors to ensure adequate staffing levels. In addition, the Staffing Coordinator monitors and verifies staff utilization and effectiveness while supporting staff retention through responsiveness and maintaining consistent staffing processes.

Summary Of Essential Functions

  • Primary contact for all staffing requisitions and placements that enter and exit the Staffing department
  • Review applications, schedule interviews, and partner with HR Coordinator to acquire all documentation relevant to hiring of BHT
  • Interview eligible candidates and prepare new hire candidates for onboarding
  • Review and ensure staff qualifications for compliance and program enhancement
  • Maintain roster for all orientations and monitor candidates’ progress
  • Track and maintain accurate workforce availability
  • Track and maintain accurate projected staffing needs
  • Ensure that projected hiring quotas are achieved
  • Review, process, and staff all authorized requisitions
  • Provide assigned staff with case profile and refer to Care Coordinators/Team Leaders
  • Monitor, process, and regulate case profiles, staff rosters, and program trackers
  • Maintain and dispatch substitute staffing pool
  • Respond to all authorized substitute requests agency-wide
  • Track seasonal transitions, such as scheduled school breaks, recesses, and other anticipated breaks
  • Support Credentialing and Compliance Manager with unemployment requests
  • Anticipate staff surpluses or deficits and communicate to Staffing team, department head, and relevant program managers
  • Support culturally diverse hiring and staffing
  • Support BSC/MT contractor hiring as needed
  • Participate in recruitment events as assigned
  • Participate in all relevant meetings: HR, Team meetings; Community-Based and School-Based Team and Team Leader meetings
  • Share responsibility to maintain after-hours Staffing mobile phone
  • Other duties as assigned by Staffing Manager and/or Director of HR

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in human services field.

Minimum 1-2 years’ experience providing direct service to children in a mental health discipline or coordinating service required.

Plus one 1 year of recruitment experience in human services field preferred.

Bilingual Spanish Required And Additional Languages Preferred.

Demonstrated ability to engage others cross culturally, develop open communication and create positive environments

Demonstrated performance engaging professionals through recruitment and meeting hiring quotas

Data collection and problem solving skills, with the ability to think strategically

Must be highly organized and detail-oriented

Able to handle sensitive, confidential information with integrity and professionalism

Skill in effectively communicating, verbally and in writing, with persons at different levels of the organization to mitigate conflict and converge around achievable goals.
