Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Foreman with a strong background in asphalt paving to lead and manage paving crews on various infrastructure and roadwork projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.

Description

Key responsbilities include:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of paving crews on-site.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely execution of work.

  • Interpret and enforce project plans, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Schedule manpower, equipment, and material deliveries.

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, local regulations, and company policies.

  • Monitor progress and productivity to meet project timelines and budgets.

  • Train and mentor crew members to promote skill development and efficiency.

  • Conduct daily safety and job briefings.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including timecards, progress reports, and job logs.

  • Troubleshoot issues and proactively resolve project delays or conflicts.

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a foreman or leadership role.

  • Proven experience in asphalt paving, including roadway, parking lot, or site development projects.

  • Strong understanding of grading, compaction, asphalt mix types, and paving equipment.

  • Knowledge of DOT standards and OSHA safety regulations.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and project documents.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Valid driver's license (CDL a plus).

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional nights or weekends based on project needs.
