ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work closely with Instructional and Administrative Team to facilitate the fully implementation of a school-wide one-way dual language program.
Deliver professional development opportunities and professional research and reading for teachers whole-group, small-group and one-on-one.
Deliver small group interventions to teachers.
Follow up with teachers to make sure they are fully-implementing outcomes outlined at staff development trainings.
Model effective reading practices for teachers and provide needed support for teachers to successfully implement effective strategies for student success.
Guide teachers to collect and analyze data and develop action plans in response to determined student needs.
Oversee the school’s assessment procedure, training, data collection and collaboration with the principal to complete reports.
Train teachers on how to properly implement assessment instruments.
Complete monthly status reports to track on or below grade-level, below grade level and more than one grade level student levels by class, grade level and school-wide.
Gradual release coaching for teachers including lesson demonstration, co-teaching, in class observation and coaching.

Performs Other Related Work As Required.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT:
General Office Equipment Personal Computer
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field required.
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 Years Of Classroom Teaching Experience Required.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in the Spanish language preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Texas Teaching Certification in (at minimum) EC-6 required.
Texas Bilingual Teaching Certification preferred.
Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Reliable means of transportation.

- Knowledge of effective and efficient methods for organizing and maintaining records and ability to perform the same.
- Knowledge of local, state and federal laws governing education.
- Knowledge and competency in subject(s) taught.
- Knowledge of elementary, secondary or special education principles, practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching.
- Knowledge of Texas Education Agency, and school rules, regulations and procedures.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with a diverse group of people and remain sensitive to their concerns.
- Ability to present a positive and professional image of Cityscape Schools.
- Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with employees, parents, students, and the community.
- Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and time constraints.
- Ability to establish goals and objectives and monitor their effective implementation.
- Ability to apply discretion and independent judgment and exercise confidentiality.
- Ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior.
- Ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, administration, and parents.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively.
- Proven ability to teach struggling emergent readers
- Familiarity with a variety of language and literacy assessments
- Deep knowledge of reading, writing and literacy development
- Outstanding presentation and facilitation skills
- Interpersonal skills (communication, problem solving, conflict management, collaboration)
- Strong organizational skills
