As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will support the Business Intelligence team in delivering high-quality data solutions and analytics to drive organizational success. You will work closely with senior BI team members to maintain data quality, develop reports and dashboards, and ensure stakeholders have access to accurate, timely information for strategic decision-making.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Data Quality & Analysis: Monitor and maintain data quality across our PostgreSQL databases, identifying and resolving data inconsistencies and anomalies through SQL analysis and development
  • Report Development & Maintenance: Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards following established best practices, ensuring consistent formatting, performance optimization, and user experience
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to internal stakeholders using our BI solutions, troubleshooting issues and training users on report functionality and data interpretation
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, report specifications, and user guides to ensure knowledge transfer and system reliability
  • Project Support: Assist with BI initiatives and projects, including requirements gathering, testing, and deployment of new analytics solutions
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business users to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications for development

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Foundation: Solid experience with SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) and Power BI development, with understanding of data modeling, DAX, and report optimization techniques
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and ability to identify patterns and anomalies in data
  • Educational Background: Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
  • Professional Experience: 1-2 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis roles
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Growth Oriented: Eager to learn and develop advanced skills in modern BI tools and methodologies, with interest in growing within the Business Intelligence field
  • Industry Background: Experience in financial services is a plus, providing valuable context for business requirements and regulatory considerations
  • Collaborative Approach: Team player who works effectively in a collaborative environment and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality standards
