This individual must implement and evangelize frameworks essential in governing technology and associated risks and prioritize all activities in alignment with company and group goals.

This individual must implement and evangelize frameworks essential in governing technology and associated risks and prioritize all activities in alignment with company and group goals.
The Vice President of Technology Governance and Operations will be accountable for the following:
- IT Operating Model & Strategy
- Define and maintain the IT business operations strategy aligned with enterprise goals.
- Develop roadmaps for IT service delivery and operational excellence.
- Governance Frameworks
- Establish policies, standards, and procedures for IT operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal governance requirements.
- Compliance and Audit
- Partner with control owners on controls integration throughout the organization to support the company’s risk posture
- Collaborate with Risk and Internal Audit leaders to mediate control concerns
- Adopt and adapt an industry-standard risk management framework
- Develop risk models, consideration of business, operational and technical risks
- Lead PTG’s risk assessments and evaluations
- Information Security
- Collaborate with Information Security leaders to ensure alignment between PTG and Information Security on security policies and practices
- Oversee the implementation of security controls and monitoring their effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations
- Provide guidance on security risk assessments and mitigation strategies
- Operational Deliverables
- IT Financial Management
- Budget planning, forecasting, and cost optimization.
- Chargeback/show back models and vendor financial oversight.
- Performance Metrics & Reporting
- Define and track KPIs (e.g., SLA adherence, incident resolution time); analyze impact of operational performance
- Deliver executive dashboards and operational reports.
- Evaluate PTG’s performance relative to industry benchmarks
- Process Improvement
- Lead ITSM (IT Service Management) initiatives (e.g., ITIL processes).
- Drive automation and efficiency improvements across IT operations.
- People & Vendor Management
- Resource Planning
- Workforce planning, capacity management, and skills development.
- Support talent acquisition and retention strategies.
- Vendor & Contract Management
- Oversee third-party service providers and contract negotiations.
- Ensure vendor performance aligns with SLAs and business expectations.
- Project & Portfolio Oversight
- Project Governance
- Monitor IT project portfolios for alignment, risk, and delivery.
- Support PMO functions and project prioritization.
- Change Management
- Ensure smooth implementation of IT changes with minimal disruption.
- Coordinate with business units for communication and training.
- Working knowledge of COBIT, NIST, ISO, ITIL frameworks
- Certifications in information systems audit, risk management, and/or IT governance preferred
- High level understanding of systems architecture
- Working knowledge of Jira and ServiceNow preferred
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing multiple services and cross-enterprise activities
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced business degree preferred
- 10+ years relevant work experience in information systems audit, risk management, and/or IT governance roles
- Strategic planning and execution across cross-functional technology teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for executive-level engagement
- Proficiency in developing and tracking KPIs and operational dashboards
- Expertise in process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency
- Strong collaboration skills including the ability to lead and influence across multiple departments and senior leadership
- Ability to manage complex projects and portfolios with competing priorities
- Ability to drive cultural change and influence effective change management
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business-relevant language
- Ability to facilitate complex concepts across diverse audiences
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and possess outstanding computer skills
- Role will likely include periodic time-sensitive demands requiring the need to respond quickly and within a set timeframe
