Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company's two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
We are seeking a Specialist, Learning and Development to support operational excellence by delivering leadership development, coaching, and performance management programs at our site. This role partners with site leaders, HRBPs, and employees to identify skill gaps, design tailored learning solutions, and drive workforce capability in an operations environment. This role is based at one of our operating sites and requires travel to other sites as needed.
This position reports to the Manager, Learning & Development and will be actively engaged in organization-wide projects, with a strong focus on operations leadership development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership Development
- Develop, manage and coordinate on-site leadership programs, including logistics, communications, and participation tracking
- Design and facilitate workshops, skill-building sessions, and development curriculum tailored to operational environments
- Conduct training needs assessments and deliver leadership training sessions
- Serve as primary contact for site leadership program request
- Serve as process owner for site performance management, ensuring consistency and accountability
- Support performance management processes, including reviews, calibrations, and development planning
- Partner with HRBPs and leaders to improve performance management practices.
- Provide tools, guidance, and training to ensure clarity and accountability
- Provide one-on-one coaching for supervisors, emerging leaders, and high-potential employees
- Conduct 360° assessments and support with creating personalized development plans.
- Support succession planning and career development initiatives
- Facilitate employee engagement sessions, manager roundtables, and development workshops
- Build relationships across all organizational levels to identify learning needs
- Collaborate with corporate L&D teams and site training groups to align initiatives
- Track, analyze, and report on learning program participation and outcomes
- Maintain training records in LMS and collect stakeholder feedback
- Stay current with industry best practices and recommend innovative learning approaches
- Partner with HRBPs, site leaders, and corporate L&D teams to align learning initiatives with business priorities
- Track program participation, analyze outcomes, and recommend enhancements
- Stay current with industry best practices in operations leadership development
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5–7 years' experience in learning & development, talent management, or operational leadership support, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or energy environments
- Strong background working with operations and plant leadership teams preferred
- Experience with performance management processes and leadership assessment tools
- Expert facilitation and public speaking abilities
- Custom learning program design aligned to business needs
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Workday and LMS experience preferred
- Ability to translate business needs into practical learning solutions
- Self-starter who works effectively independently and in teams
- Must be able to travel to our sites as needed
