Position Summary

As a Registered Nurse on our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients throughout the surgical process—pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative. This includes monitoring symptoms, administering medications, assisting with rehabilitation, educating patients and families, and offering emotional support. You will work closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and positive patient experience.

• Hourly wage: $28 – $32 (based on experience)

Essential Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure coordinated care
• Follow all compliance, safety, and infection-control standards
• Maintain a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and families
• Ensure a clean, safe, and secure work environment
• Protect patient confidentiality and uphold all privacy standards
  
  

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN degree required
• Active RN license in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within one year of hire
• One year of OR experience preferred
  
  

Physical Demands & Work Environment (per ADA guidelines)

• Physical activity: Standing for long periods, stooping, grasping, lifting, talking, and hearing
• Physical requirements: Medium work—lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly
• Visual acuity: Required for detailed tasks
• Possible exposures:
• Anesthesia gases and agents
• Blood and bloodborne pathogens
• Communicable diseases
• Hazardous waste
• Moving equipment parts
• Sharp instruments
