Payroll Specialist

Knowledge And Skill Requirements

• Primary Duty is processing and issuing direct deposits and payroll checks to Employees.
• Review time sheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
• Contact managers, supervisors, and employees regarding work hours or payroll discrepancies.
• Processing wage garnishments and adjustments as needed for employees.
• Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.
• Answering payroll questions from employees regarding their pay.
• Keep informed about changes in wage, tax, and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Human Resources Department
• Communicates with managers and employees; maintains confidentiality and represents the company.
  
  

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalency required, a degree in Business Administration or similar preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in this field.
• Attention to detail a MUST
• A fast learner with the desire to learn about the business and products
• Self-motivated and ambitious with a clear sense of integrity and professional responsibility
• Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
