We are seeking an experienced litigation paralegal. Depending on experience and aptitude, salary can start at $30. We will train in the aspects of real estate law, but their experience should be in all areas of paralegal duties.
- Conduct legal research: Paralegals research case law, statutes, and other legal materials to support attorneys in their work.
- Draft legal documents: Paralegals draft legal documents such as contracts, briefs, pleadings, and motions.
- Assist with discovery: Paralegals assist attorneys in the discovery process, which involves gathering evidence from the opposing party in a case.
- Maintain and organize case files: Paralegals maintain and organize case files, which may include filing and organizing documents, creating indexes, and preparing exhibits.
- Communicate with clients: Paralegals communicate with clients to gather information and keep them updated on the status of their case.
- Schedule appointments and court appearances: Paralegals schedule appointments, court appearances, and other meetings for attorneys.
- Assist with trial preparation: Paralegals assist attorneys in preparing for trial by organizing evidence, preparing witness statements, and drafting trial briefs.
- Conduct legal administrative tasks: Paralegals may perform legal administrative tasks such as billing, preparing invoices, and managing the law firm's calendar.
- Maintain confidentiality: Paralegals maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Stay up-to-date on legal developments: Paralegals stay up-to-date on legal developments and changes in laws and regulations that are relevant to their work.
