Summary/Objective
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Industrial Engineer optimizes manufacturing processes within the Skidding Business by designing workflows, analyzing production data, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce cost, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Environment/Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
This is a full-time position with working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. However, depending on workload there may be occasional longer days and occasional weekends as needed. Employees are expected to work the necessary hours to complete all tasks on time and to a satisfactory standard.
Travel
Regular travel is not required for this position.

Summary/Objective
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Industrial Engineer optimizes manufacturing processes within the Skidding Business by designing workflows, analyzing production data, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce cost, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
Essential Functions
- Analyzes and optimizes workflow, information flow, and material flow for skid assembly processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure smooth production.
- Develops and maintains overall plant layouts, routings, workstation designs, and material handling systems to support scalability and lean manufacturing principles.
- Conducts time studies and work measurement analyses to establish labor standards, balance workloads, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborates with Production Leaders to streamline assembly operations and implement standardized work instructions.
- Partners with SCM and Warehouse teams to design material storage, kitting, and delivery systems that minimize handling and support just-in-time production.
- Applies Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce bottlenecks, improve throughput, and enhance safety and quality in skidding operations.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and 5S implementation.
- Evaluates equipment utilization and recommend changes to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and optimize floor space usage.
- Provides data-driven recommendations to leadership through performance metrics, cost analyses, and process simulations.
- Assists in the introduction of new products and engineering changes by designing efficient production layouts and processes.
- Ensures compliance with safety, ergonomic, and environmental standards in all process and layout designs.

Environment/Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department in the Office and Factory Floor.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
- 5+ years of related experience
- 15 days of PTO on an annual basis
