University Physicians' Association is looking for a full-time Deposit Clerk for our corporate offices located in Knoxville, TN.
Job Duties
This description is a general statement of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continuous basis within the department. It does not exclude other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & TRAINING:
Requires High School education or equivalency; college level accounting helpful; medical courses preferred.
Required Experience
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Manual dexterity needed for using a calculator and computer keyboard.

Job Duties

- Work as a team player, assume a positive attitude and act with integrity to attain company goals.
- Run credit card payments for multiple clients using various methods for capture including swipe machines and online terminals
- Sort incoming courier mail.
- Log incoming charges on spreadsheet and file in billing department.
- Assist with filing, copying, deposits, etc., as necessary.
- Sort checks received to databases; makes checklist for each deposit made and distributes appropriately; makes deposits according to schedule.
- Reconciles Deposits
- Receives Office cash locked bags and keeps record of bag number and contents.
- Maintains a monthly spreadsheet of refunds and mails refunds weekly. Reconciles refunds annually.
- Maintain spreadsheets for balancing
- May be required to work overtime.
- Anything else your supervisor or manager requests within the scope of the UPA

Requirements

Required Experience
- Medical office experience preferred.
- Knowledge of computers, computer programs, office equipment, and business office procedures.
- Proficiency in written communication skills and using the spoken word.
- Knowledge of formal and informal departmental goals, standards, policies and procedures which may include some familiarity of other departments within the Central Billing Office.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to the interrelationship of both people and functions within the Central Billing Office.
