Summary

The Parts Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the efficiency and productivity of our collision repair services by managing, verifying, and distributing parts accurately. You’ll be responsible for inventory control, timely ordering, and maintaining strong vendor relationships to support seamless shop operations.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory control of all parts in the system.
  • Order and receive parts to ensure timely delivery for ongoing repairs.
  • Inspect all incoming parts for damage and correctness, returning incorrect items immediately.
  • Ensure tools and equipment related to parts operations are functioning properly.
  • Provide customers with accurate updates and answer any questions about their vehicles.
  • Maintain cost projection spreadsheets and collaborate with other departments on needs.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors for smooth communication and deliveries.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • 1+ years of experience in parts operations (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze internal cost reports and support process improvements.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
