Description

The Head of US & Canada Professional Sales will be a proven sales leader with deep

experience managing a manufacturer’s rep force and driving success in the professional

audio/video market. This individual will lead our US & Canada Professional Sales

organization—overseeing Regional Sales Managers, Consultant Team, End User

engagement, Distribution partnerships, and our external representative network.

This role requires someone who thrives in building strong partnerships, inspiring teams,

and executing on Sonance’s go-to-market strategy. The ideal candidate will understand

how to optimize a rep force for performance, while ensuring alignment between internal

and external teams to deliver exceptional results for our customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & Inspire: Build, mentor, and lead the US & Canada Professional Sales team—

ensuring alignment with Sonance’s values and growth goals. Foster a culture of

collaboration, accountability, and shared success, where individuals feel

supported, inspired, and challenged to grow. Drive team-building eNorts that

strengthen trust, communication, and engagement across both internal teams and

our rep force network.

  • Rep Force Leadership: Develop, manage, and optimize relationships with our

commission-based rep firms. Ensure they have the training, tools, and motivation to

represent Sonance at the highest level.

  • Go-to-Market Execution: Drive execution across all channels—professional AV

dealers, consultants, architects, end users, developers, distributors, and key

influencers—to achieve aggressive revenue growth targets.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with top

customers, industry partners, and decision-makers to expand market presence and

influence.

  • Market Intelligence: Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor

activities to identify opportunities, refine strategies, and deliver market share

growth.

  • Sales Operations Excellence: Oversee pipeline management, forecasting,

budgeting, and sales processes to ensure accuracy, accountability, and efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, Product, and

Operations teams to align on product launches, campaigns, and brand initiatives.

  • Performance Management: Set clear objectives, monitor results, and implement

incentive programs to drive high performance across the sales organization and rep

network.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years in sales leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years managing an

independent manufacturer’s rep force in the professional AV or related

industry

  • Proven ability to lead high-performing sales teams and deliver revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of professional AV channels, including distribution,

contractor, consultant, and end-user segments.

  • Expertise in strategic planning, sales forecasting, and team leadership
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across internal and

external teams.

  • Willingness to travel 50%+ domestically
  • Location is based out of San Clemente, CA HQ
