Summary/Objective

The Court Liaison coordinates procedures for mental health commitments.

Essential Job Duties

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Maintains and ensures accuracies of all required documentation for commitments and court hearings.
• Oversees commitment process and ensures all required documentation is provided in a timely manner at courts request.
• Contacts significant persons in a timely manner to explain the court process, date, and time to be present for involuntary court hearings and ensure understanding of directions given.
• Communicates expiring patients' commitments to appropriate staff and plans ahead if a second physician certification is needed.
• Works with the court judge’s office in setting up hearings and ensuring court requests are met.
• Assists in the Admissions Department as need.
  
  

Required Education And Experience

High School diploma or equivalent.

1-3 years of related experience.

Required License/Certifications

Have or agree to obtain and maintain Notary certification
