In this role, you'll do more than teach; you'll innovate. Your contributions will drive literacy success in individual classrooms and help create a scalable reading program for multiple campuses. You'll lead dynamic, tech-enhanced workshops, motivate young readers with innovative strategies, and collaborate with engineers to improve the tools that support our model.

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly. - Facilitating adaptive reading workshops that build foundational skills in phonics, comprehension, and fluency
- Crafting personalized motivational sessions to enhance engagement through gamified literacy milestones
- Interpreting student progress data to refine instruction and uncover actionable insights
- Collaborating with the tech team to assess and improve AI literacy tools based on classroom outcomes
- Creating scalable content that customizes reading pathways for diverse learners
- Adhering to a rigid scripted curriculum that overlooks student needs or data
- Spending long hours on conventional lesson planning, grading, or administrative tasks
- Working in overcrowded classrooms with scarce resources
- Focusing solely on behavior management instead of reading instruction
- Teaching in isolation without contributing to program or product development
Create a scalable, AI-enhanced reading program that empowers early elementary students to reach grade-level proficiency and fosters a lifelong passion for reading.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
- Expertise in assessing reading levels, grouping students, and designing differentiated instruction without pre-written curricula
- Proficiency with AI/adaptive learning tools and responsive to student interactions within them
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Willingness to work on-site at one of our campuses: Tampa, FL; Austin, TX, or Plano, TX.
