**Major Duties**
To qualify for a Photographer your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. For current and former Federal civilian service employees, to qualify for the GS-09 grade level, specialized experience must be at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. For all other applicants, to qualify for the GS-09 grade level, specialized experience must be at the GS-08 grade level or equivalent in the military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade(General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: GS-08: Using specialized photography equipment such as high-speed cameras, special equipment accessories, or other equipment to complete highly detailed assignments. Selecting and staging scenes and events that generate high degree of satisfaction. Making prints, reproductions, slide graphs, and generating computer presentations with the photos taken. Operating audio visual (AV) presentation equipment. Cropping, and retouching images to correct flaws in the product. GS-07: Using basic photography equipment. Selecting and evaluating scenes. Making prints, reproductions, and generating computer presentations with the photos taken. Ability to crop and retouch images. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Physical Demands: Work requires some physical exertion, i.e.: long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching or stretching, and recurring lifting of moderately heavy equipment.

**Major Duties**
- Serves as the photographer for the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) installation and tenant's activities.
- Produces quality photographs or multi-media presentations of desired subjects, scenes, concepts, materials, or data.
- Conducts pre-planning with customers that consists of reviewing scripts, studying the subject, and surveying the background and layout with the required lighting and specialized camera/ accessories to achieve desired results.
- Maintains historical films, photograph library, glass plate negatives inventory, and digital data-base and equipment exchange.
- Performs processing work, i.e.: prints, repairing damaged photos, charts, or printed material, and produces slides.
- Attends training events, seminars, and subscribes to various photography publications in obtaining the latest knowledge, skills, advancements in technology, and equipment for improving image quality and precision.
