Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist is an integral member of our Talent Acquisition team, collaborating closely with internal and external partners to identify and secure the best candidates for each open position. This role ensures the organization attracts, evaluates, and retains top talent to fulfill its vision and goals. This role is responsible for the full cycle recruitment process.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the full-cycle recruiting process including but not limited to processing background checks, scheduling new hire training, drug screenings, reference verifications, I-9 verification & Onboarding to ensure timely and compliant hiring.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and develop clear and compelling job descriptions.
  • Source candidates through diverse channels, including job boards, social media, hiring events and networking opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough interviews to evaluate candidates' qualifications and cultural fit within the organization.
  • Present shortlisted candidates to hiring managers for the scheduling of second-round interviews.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with potential candidates for future openings.
  • Provide regular updates to hiring managers on candidate status and key recruitment metrics.
  • Participate in internal recruiting initiatives to promote employee referrals and enhance engagement.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in recruiting to continuously improve our strategies.
  • Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to streamline and manage the recruitment process efficiently.
  • Participate in Hiring Events (setup, tear down and working the event).
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support regulatory compliance and internal audits
  • Responsible for ensuring candidates meet compliance with DHS requirements.
  • Occasional travel (across all our locations) to attend hiring events and support recruitment efforts at various locations. Candidate must be flexible to travel as needed with access to reliable transportation.
  • provide tutorials to Hiring Managers on the ATS.
  • Attend events with partners & potential partners.
  • Operate as a Team Lead to ensure continuity of operations and effective decision making.
  • Responsible for making decisions in absence of the Director of Talent Acquisition.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven experience as a recruiter with a strong grasp of recruitment processes and technical methodologies.
  • At least 2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Preferred educational background in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proficient in evaluating candidates’ skills and aligning them with job requirements.
  • Strong ability to assess candidates for cultural fit within the organization.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building strong internal and external relationships.
  • Excellent interviewing skills with the ability to evaluate candidates effectively.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to hiring practices.
  • Highly organized, self motivated, and ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple priorities.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and positive
  • Strong analytical skills to assess candidate qualifications and make informed hiring decisions.

Work Schedule

The schedule for this full-time position is generally Monday through Friday, though overtime, evenings and weekend work may be required depending on the business need.

Work Environment And Physical Demands

  • Required to use a computer for extended periods of time and be able to communicate using a computer and phone/smart device.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Reaching. lifting, pulling and pushing.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasional standing for extended periods at hiring events.
