Hotel Manager – Sheraton/Le Méridien Charlotte Complex

The Hotel Manager will oversee all operating departments within our dual-branded property while driving guest service excellence and profitability. Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Maintain the highest standards of guest service, ensuring brand requirements are exceeded for both Le Méridien and Sheraton.
  • Design and lead training programs to emphasize the LeMeridien lifestyle brand and Sheraton brand throughout the operating departments.
  • Oversee food and beverage operations and activations to enhance guest experiences.
  • Direct hotel operations to ensure smooth performance across all departments.
  • Review schedules and labor productivity to align with business capacities and budget standards.
  • Oversee budgeted revenues, payroll, and expenses with a focus on maximizing profitability.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term operational and financial plans aligned with hotel objectives.
  • Review reservations and occupancy trends to optimize room revenue.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a best-in-class operations team.
  • Ensure compliance with StepStone Hospitality operations audits and brand audits.
  • Create and implement innovative operational policies and procedures.
  • Hold teams accountable for executing brand standards and resources.
  • Administrative & Financial Management
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual hotel budget.
  • Establish and maintain effective cost control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, credit policies, guest safety, and asset protection.
  • Accurately utilize reporting and accounting software for business analysis.

Guest Experience & Support

  • Create and execute hotel activations to emphasize the LeMeridien lifestyle brand.
  • Proactively review guest touchpoints and the guest journey daily to ensure satisfaction.
  • Promptly and professionally resolve guest requests, concerns, and complaints.
  • Facilitate department meetings to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Lead employee development initiatives to enhance service quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Provide support to accounting and administrative functions as needed.
  • Professionalism & Communication
  • Uphold StepStone Hospitality’s mission, values, and standards of professionalism.
  • Act as a role model for associates in behavior, communication, and appearance.
  • Effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
  • Foster collaboration and resolve conflicts respectfully.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; degree in hospitality management preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hotel operations leadership experience in lifestyle/soft-branded hotels.
  • Prior experience in creating and executing lifestyle brand programs and initiatives.
  • Prior experience with Marriott Hotels & Resorts strongly preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Strong financial acumen, with proven budgeting and cost control experience.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • CPR certification required; first aid training preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems.
  • Ability to lift/pull up to 20 lbs., bend, stoop, and perform other physical duties as required.
  • Multilingual abilities a plus.
